Depression and Anxiety

The chance of acquiring depression is much higher when an anxiety disorder already exists. Nearly half of those with major depression also suffer from severe and persistent anxiety. Additionally, being anxious can trigger depression.

Panic Attacks

A person with depression often experiences a lot of anxiety, possibly even to the extent of having panic attacks. The reason for this being that a lot of the symptoms associated with depression often come from not being able to control those attacks.

The figure on the right lists helpful tips for controlling panic attacks.

What can I do to ease symptoms naturally?

One way to treat depressive symptoms naturally is with St. John’s Wort, which is an herbal extract that calms the mind.

Jesse Weigel’s experience with anxiety and depression will be on the right. Their experience with different medications including St. John’s worth was mixed, but he does say it is not for everyone in the video.

Additional Treatments

Another way to treat depressive related symptoms is through the use of medication prescribed by a Psychologist. However, sometimes medications can have unwanted side effects, so make sure to contact your doctor before making a decision.

Personal research may also make you more aware of a disorder you could be experiencing, although self diagnosis is not recommended, as you could be seeking out incorrect treatment for your aliment.
